Richmond Hill Transmission

I was driving north on 17 when the front left corner of my car started this loud scraping sound. I stopped twice, couldn't see anything. It drove normally, no lights blinking on dash, just making a loud scraping noise. I pulled into RHT. Chad immediately saw something hanging down near front left tire. "That's your problem, this has broken apart." He bent down, saw how to repair it. "We can zip tie it through this hole and it'll be fine." Which he did. "You can buy another if you want, but this should work." I asked to pay. He said, "No charge, we primarily focus on transmissions, but like to help out when we can." Super nice, wish they did everything my car needs.

This is the absolute best transmission shop you can ever go to. Fair prices, quick, and very professional. I talked to them over the phone about why my transmission wasn’t engaging after I’ve got into a fender-bender. I made a appointment to get it checked out. Chad looked at it and was able to get the parts in and have it fixed within a week. Couldn’t ask for a better shop!

I highly recommend this shop. I had a problem with my tundra's transmission not shifting when cold. John had it fixed quickly and also gave me a heads up about another unrelated issue that needed attention. It was nice to have had a great experience from a mechanic shop and to know that there are still good honest people out there that will not take advantage of you.

Amazing service, very personable Team, and excellent quality work! My wife’s Tahoe had broken down in the parking lot of local business. The shifter lever would just move freely up and down without changing gears. It was late in the day but I was able to talk with the shop. They gave me detailed and easy instructions on how to drop off the car after hours. The next morning I received a call from the shop and was informed that the linkage connecting the shift lever to the transmission had broken - very common issue with this gen Tahoe and Trucks. It was fixed and everything put back together that morning! The Team went above and beyond with both the level of service and price to fix the problem. Extremely grateful to you and your Team! I will absolutely be returning in the future and highly recommend Richmond Hill Transmission!
